Fault Zone Identification for Groundwater Flow Assessment Based On Seismic Reflection Survey Data at the Area of Felda Lepar Utara, Pahang, Malaysia

Abstract Geological structures such as faults and fractures have an important influence in the process of fluid movement below surface. The hydraulic behavior aquifers can be determined by proper characterization fractures, fault zones their connectivity. In this study, we concern on detection identification groundwater basin to verify whether area connect surface, occurring serve conduits or barriers for flow. seismic reflection method with Common Depth Point (CDP) profiling technique has been applied study. Through identified that several large small-scale were found study area. Generally, these large-scale cut bedrock (granodiorite) up impermeable layer. This group a barrier block zone is connected surface evidenced presence normal clearly observed at good apply because it used record deeper subsurface conditions, especially purposes.
